A Busy Day

After City of Rocks, we headed home for a day and then set back out on our adventure on Friday. We made it to Prosser, Washington where we stayed in the Jeep at a truck stop overnight. Then, we made our way to Seattle, where we walked around Pikes Place Market, saw the gum wall, and ate delicious food. Next, we headed to Mt. Vernon to see the Skagit Valley Tulip festival - it was incredible! We then decided to get on the ferry and head to Orcas Island, putting us two days ahead of schedule.
We spent the first night at Moran State Park, with our tent looking out over Cascade Lake. The next day, we drove up to Mt. Constitution, the highest point on Orcas Island. We were able to look down into the San Juan Islands, it was unlike anything we'd ever seen.
Then, we hiked to three different waterfalls, the trees were huge and everything was covered in moss. After messing around in town for a few hours, we headed back to Moran, built a fire, roasted marshmallows, and finally hit the sack.
Currently, we are sitting in the library (the only place with wifi) getting ready to go to Inralaya to work for a few weeks. Our next post probably won't be for a few weeks, seeing as how it's difficult to find Wifi here. We love you all, and will talk to you soon.
Cheers,
David & Macall

City of Rocks

The last stop before home, was City of Rocks. It was beautiful here! We spent the day climbing, hiking, sun soaking and eating good food.

Given's Hot Springs, Idaho

After Greenleaf, David and I made our way to the most ghetto place we've been, Givens Hot Spring in the middle of no where Idaho. We swam, read, layed in the hammock, and ate Cup of Noodles for dinner. David was able to meet his doppelganger, Kuzco, the alpaca. I've never brushed my teeth with water that reeked of hard boiled eggs... so that was new.

Greenleaf, Idaho - April 16th to the 22nd

On April 16th, David and I stayed in Greenleaf (just outside of Boise, Idaho) with David's sister, her husband, and their 3 daughters for four days. We tie-dyed shirts with the girls and pushed them on the swings for countless hours. It was a blast!
We Stopped to see some water falls in Twin Falls

Overnighter in Our Own Backyard

On April 10th, David, Jake (David's cousin) and I went on an overnight backpacking camp out up Holbrook Canyon, in Bountiful. It's amazing what you can find 5 minutes from your house.
