Two Stinky Kids Made it Home

     Its been almost a month since we last updated, so prepare yourselves for a lot of information. Once we got off the island, we headed straight to the Olympic Peninsula. Then we went to Oregon. Then we went to California. the end

     

 On the Peninsula is a Lighthouse called Dungenous Spit. Usually, You can take the 5 mile trek out on the spit to the lighthouse, but we were there at high tide and had to head down the road. We did, however get to take a nice little hike through our first, very small, taste of the rain forest.

 We stayed the night at Crescent lake, in the Olympic National Forest. It rained the entire time we were here, it was beautiful!

 Crescent Lake was incredibly clear due to a lack of Nitrogen in the water, which made it hard for algae to grow.

 We hiked to Sol Duc falls in the rainforest, here we saw some crazy waterfalls. A black bear was on the trail about 50 feet ahead of us, at one point - it was neat.

 We meandered up to Cape Flattery, the most north western part of the US (apart from Alaska, of course).

 The cape was pretty sweet, rock cliffs formed by huge, crashing waves.

 After Cape Flattery, we went to La Push, and wandered along a few beaches (we can't really remember the names, or which one was which) David really enjoyed it here; it is, after all, where the Twilight books take place. Macall tried to find a vampire man, but none of them sparkled enough.

 This is Oceanside. It's near Tillamook Oregon. We stayed with Rose, from camp, in Lakebay, Washington. While we were at her house, we spent our days taking long walks on the beach and eating the best sharp white cheddar. We love Rose and can't wait to see her again! After Roses we went to Portland. There we saw a real life Naked man. Apparently that's what old hobos do there. We stayed with David's friend, Kyle, just outside of Portland.

Then, we take a huge leap to Yosemite, CA (only in pictures though, we stopped taking pictures with the camera and started taking them with our phone... so those pictures are at the bottom)

Eduardo, the Jeep, treated us so well.

This was a beautiful hike we took in the Hoh Rainforest, we almost walked into seven elk!

 After Oregon, we stayed with Jordan at her Aunt Anne's in San Jose. We had a blast spending 4 busy days with her. She took us to the Deyoung Museum in San Francisco (picture above) where we spent about 4 hours nerding over some art. We ate tasty food in downtown San Jose, soaked in the swimming pool at Jordan's, watched some Rick and Morty, and went for a very steep, but beautiful hike at Garrapata in Big Sur - at the summit, we were in some clouds and could see for miles. 

 She took us to the incredible cliffs at Wilder Ranch in Santa Cruz

 Then, on our last day evening, we walked down along the Santa Cruz boardwalk. The people watching here was some of the best we've ever seen. 

After Jordan's, we decided to make a quick trip to Yosemite and then head home. Seeing Jordan was a good reminder that home is the best place to be.

1753 hours later, we haven't killed eachother

The last few nights, we slept in a Burger King, Walmart, and City park parking lot. You can tell we were having a blast. We woke up, looked at each other and said "let's go home".

So we did.
